~~ Toyota To Become Worlds Biggest Automaker - Move Over GM!
Well the reports are out - It is looking like Toyota will become the worlds largest automaker in 2007 - Toyota will boost their production up to over 9.45 million vehicles.
So why so much success for Toyota when the “Big Three Automakers” are struggling here in the U.S. and abroad?
Here goes - Hope I don’t offend anyone too much but: . . . . .
- The “Big Three Automakers” have been in a rut for years - So many of the designs they have been putting out are plain and simply ugly (Pontiac Aztec).
- They have relied on the fact that americans love the ” look at mine - it’s bigger than yours attitude”, rather than looking into the future and becoming a pioneer in the hybrid market like Toyota did.
- Who does their advertising? They flat out say that they will give the UAW a better deal than us normal customers - Usually the UAW are the only ones that can afford them anyway. Believe it or not folks, not everyone is a UAW member!
- The lets fix the problem after the customer has the problem rather than on the assembly line - Why pass it to the customers?
These are just a few that come to mind - I am sure I could spend the next two hours writing about them but I will spare you.
Come on “Big Three Automakers” - Rather than fight Toyota by lobbying the Government for higher taxes and levies, take notes and learn from what they are doing.
- In reality the American people have already told you what they want!
I drive a Toyota so I know their quality - I am sold on them, I’ll buy another one when the time comes.
I say congat’s Toyota - I just hope you maintain your quality now that you have gotten so big.
