~~ Toyota Wants Feds To Extend Tax Credit For Hybrid Car Purchases
Toyota - the biggest hybrid auto manufacturer reached the 60,000-hybrid-sales limit set by Congress that allowed income tax breaks for buying hybrid cars as a way of encouraging fuel savings and cleaner air, now wants an extension on the tax credit by the federal government.
Buyers still recieve a tax credit for purchasing a hybrid vehicle but it is much smaller and will completly vanish by the end of the year - Toyota proposes that the feds extend the tax credit allowing comsumers who buy hybrid vehicles would recieve the full $3,100 tax credit.
So far Toyota seems to be the only one of the hybrid manufactures to be supporting this extension.
I say give the people the full tax incentive!
