New Energy Bill To Boost Ethanol Use - e85 Too

“An energy bill set for debate on the floor of the U.S. Senate during the next couple of weeks could provide a big boost to the rapidly expanding ethanol industry.”

South Dakota Repulican Sen. John Thune said on Saturday.

Legislation passed by the Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee in May would require refineries to produce and use at least 36 billion gallons of renewable fuels by 2022. The current renewable fuels standard is more short-term, calling for 7.5 billion gallons by 2012.
